I'm so Thankful

First of all,I am thankful for books. I love it when Mom and Dad read to me. Dad does a good job here with the Hungry Caterpillar.

Mom and Dad forgot the camera on Thanksgiving, but let me tell you, we had SOME feast! Granny made a ginormous turkey breast and so many veggies. My favorite was the butternut squash. I ate veggie meatballs and so much cheese, mom said we might have to move to Wisconsin to keep up with my cheese intake.

On Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, I got to play with Mom and Dad's high school friends' kids. It was a blast. I tried my hand at sharing toys and food. Sometimes I was good at it, especially with Kathryn. She's really nice. We watched some Sesame Street together.

Here's the whole gang on Friday evening:
From left to right, it's: Mom, me, Dad, Alyce, David, Jay, Mike, Kathryn, Jessica and Madison.

On Saturday morning we went to Mike's house for breakfast. Ed and my buddy Max were there. Max is super crawler guy now.
Mom and Ed and Mike managed to corral us long enough for a photo.

C is for Cookie

If I am not talking about my friend Lala, it's Cookie Monster I am obsessing over. Mom and I made cookies. Banana oatmeal butterscotch chocolate chip cookies, to be exact. Here's how I ate one:

First I start out with a dainty bite.

Then, I realize the cookie is really good.

Next, I shove the whole thing in my mouth.

Finally, I wash it down with some milk.

Mmmmm. C really is for COOKIE!

You've got a friend in Pennsylvania

Mom says that the old PA license plates used to say that. Well, it's a true statement fro me. My friend Cyrus moved to Pa. with his Mom and Dad. We went with Claudine and Blake to visit yesterday. Their new house is so cool. It was built in the 1800s and then added to in the early 1900s. And they have a huge driveway that's as big as the cul-de-sac where Grandma and Grandpa live. Cyrus has a big-boy bed now and he has lots of toys. We played outside for a long time and he showed me some cool things.

First we drew pictures on the driveway.

Then he showed me how to use his lawnmower. I mastered that quite quickly.

Then Mike took out his new lawn mower. Daddy took me for a ride!
I played hockey (check me out Papa!!)

Dad helped me scribble this while I rode Cyrus' musical car:
And here's all the grownups. They had such a great time. All the way home (even though they thought I was sleeping) I heard Mom and Dad and Claudine and Blake talking about what a great time they had (when they weren't talking about politics, that is). In a few weeks, all the grownups will see each other again and then they will plan a day when everyone will come to my house. I can't wait to show Cyrus my toys!

Happy Ha Lala Lala lloween!

Wow! Halloween was action packed with fun. You all knew that I was dressing up as my number one favorite Muppet, Lala (that's Elmo for you folks with a better grasp of the English language).
Daddy came to Bayville to take me trick-or-treating. When Mom and I were going through the pictures, we realized that Mom and Daddy aren't in a single one! That's alright though since they didn't even have costumes!
After visiting with Doreen for a little while (she gave me a Lala toothbrush!) I went to Grandma and Nonno's. Grandma surprised me with this giant Lala!
After that Daddy had to leave and Mommy and Aunt Amber took me to Granny and Papa's house for dinner. I was pretty tired of my costume by that time and pretty hungry too. After dinner I got into my red PJs and tried to get Aunt Amber to take off her costume too!

I gave Granny a big hug and Papa a kiss and went home for a good night's sleep.

Imagine my surprise in the morning when big Lala was wearing my Halloween costume! Lala was Lala!!!!

No Whining at the Wine Room

Last weekend there was a wine tasting at the store where Daddy works, The Wine Room. Grandma and Grandpa came and so did Aunt amber and Eric. Grandpa let me help him pick out a bottle of red wine and then I helped him taste wine from the Page-size cups they give out.

I was so good on Saturday at the tasting that Mommy let me help make (and taste) brownies on Sunday. Mmmmm.

Cory the Great

This is my friend Cory the Great. He stayed with us for a few days in October. Cory is a good reader. He read me Elmo books (which aren't great literature, I must add) and played with me. Mom told me Cory will live in New York this winter. That is very good news. I hope he will come play with me lots!
