More Oregon

Mom and Dad took me took me to this really cool restaurant call Peanut Better & Ellies. They were totally kid friendly! There was a blackboard wall where kids could doodle, there were toys and even these cool high chairs that strapped to the table. That's where I sat and drank from my sippee cup (sort of). I discovered that I adore drinking from Mom and Dad's cups and tried to sneak some beer (Portland has tons of microbreweries).
Auntie Dana came up from L.A. for the weekend to hang out with me. She is so cool. She's drinking a beer in this picture that I tried to have. We went to wine country together and to the Tillamook Cheese Factory where lots of people wait in long lines for tiny pieces of free cheese. Auntie Dana babysat me one night and Mom and Dad went on a date! They had a yummy fancy dinner out and I got a great massage with my super cool west coast auntie. See you in a few weeks Auntie Dana!

This is Mom's friend Fara. They used to go see concerts together. They followed Phish around. Remember Phish? The guy in the band, Page McConnell? that's partly whom I am named after. Anyways, Fara and her husband Chris and their son Miles live in Portland. We hung out with them a couple of times. Miles is exactly 6 months older than me to the day! He was crawling and standing on his own and I was watching and learning. Mom said she was so happy to catch up with Fara and Chris again. They were such good Portland ambassadors.

Oh, here's silly Daddy in that Keller Fountain again! He said if he lived in Portland, he'd go in the fountain every day!

On the Oregon Trail

Hi!
Well, we've been back from Oregon for a week, but the family has been busy getting ready for school and dealing with a lovely virus called Coxsackie. That's right, I had my first virus! I got it on vacation and had a fever and a sore throat. But enough about that, let me tell you about the cool stuff! This will probably take more than one post because my fingers get tired of all this typing and there's lots to tell!
So here's me on a plane! My first trip (or trips since we went up and down a bunch of times) was great. I was very well-behaved and I didn't cry really at all. I wouldn't nap though and mom was really hoping I would since she was tired and I sat on her lap the whole time!
Here we are at Cannon Beach on the coast. This is the most photographed rock in America! It was also in the movie Goonies (more on that in another post!)
Look at my family! We are standing in front of Multnomah Falls on the way to Mt. Hood. The waterfall is over 500 feet high. We were getting wet during this picture! Below is us behind a waterfall, but this one is man made. It is Keller Fountain in downtown Portland. Did you know that in Portland, the city WANTS you to enjoy the fountains and even PLAY in them? Isn't that cool?

Me and my cuz

Hey there!
Remember a few months ago when I told you about my cousin Liam? Well, we got to really hang out this weekend in the Catskills when the Bennett clan got together for some family time. My Mom and Aunt Shannon had lots of fun together chatting about baby stuff and they even played with Aunt Lauren and Grandma Nancy (she fed me avocado and tickled my cheeks!).
Dad and the men played golf one day and then Dad came with the ladies and Liam and me to Woodstock. We went to this awesome toy store when the Moms totally spoiled us kids.

Speaking of us kids, don't Liam and I look like we're going to be great friends? He is so cool! We even talked to each other on our last evening as the Moms sat outside enjoying the mountain air and talking.

Oh, and check out Dad. He was totally jealous of my rockin' bald head so he shaved his head to look like me. Mom said he will make a handsome bald man one day, but in the meantime, a little hair is nice!

Cape Cod

Hey Everyone! I was a swimmin' fool this week! Mom, Dad, Aunt Amber and Grandma and Grandpa and I went to Cape Cod for my cousin Andrew's baptism. The night before the baptism, Aunt Erica and Uncle Walter had everyone at their house. Here I am with all the ladies (and Andrew...we're the only two boys). Watch out girls, I am ready to flirt!

The baptism was just the beginning of a great week. I got to swim in the bay, swim in the pond at Uncle Adi and Aunt Janet's and swim in the pool at Evelyn and Fred's condo. Sooooo fun! I love kicking my feet in the water, but I don't love grown-up sunscreen. I got a funny rash where I touched mom's skin. She has to use Water Babies now too!

Guess what else happened on the Cape? I got my first taste of REAL food! Mom made me organic rice cereal and here I am being fed by Dad. mmmm. I loved it from the first bite. I figured out how to get the food off the spoon really fast. Everyone took a turn feeding me. Now I am ready to try sweet potatoes ... then PIZZA!

Visiting Ryan and Sharon

I took my first roadtrip last week when Mom, Dad and I went to visit Ryan and Sharon in Hanover, Pa. Ryan was in Mom and Dad's wedding party and Sharon is his girlfriend. She's so nice and I loved being held by her!

What a great weekend we had! I went swimming in a pool for the first time and I even went on a boat (a really cool pontoon boat) on Lake Marburgh. Mom and Dad put me in this crazy outfit to keep me afloat and we went for a dip in the lake too AND I even drove the boat! was a real water rat for the weekend.

Mom and Dad were so happy to catch up with Ryan and Sharon. They have a really nice home right in the center on the city. Dad took me for a walk around town one morning and the five of us went to this neat farmer's market one day.

Hanover is home to the UTZ prezel factory and we visited there. Mom was like a kid in a candy store an d Dad got a cool Miami Dolphins football snack helmet. Yay Utz!I hope we visit with Sharon and Ryry again soon!

Hot tubbin' it

Hey there! Auntie Dana called to say I haven't written in awhile and I forgot to post my stats so ... Hi! Auntie Dana!!! I love you. Well, here I am in my first hot tub. Nonno, Dad, Mom and I went in yesterday after lunch at Grandma and Nonno's house. It was nice. Like a giant bathtub and warm and bubbly! I wore my diaper in the tub because Mom forgot a swimmie diaper. Whoa, who knew diapers could get so big!
Last week I had my four month check up. Here's the details:
Height: 26 1/2 inches
Weight: 19 lbs, 7 oz.
So I am almost off the charts! 96th percentile! That's like an A+.

Four Months Old

Today I am four months old! I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday where I'll find out how big I am (I look extra large in these pics, thanks to mom's great camera angle). I do so much now. I talk a lot (babbling, raspberries, etc.) and I like to prop myself on on my arms while on my tummy. I have a nice big smile and I grasp stuff and stick EVERYTHING in my mouth.

I am sleeping better these days, but Mom says I have to stop using the miracle blanket soon since I am almost rolling over too. She unwrapped my feet but when my arms are free, I startle myself awake a lot and Mom gets no sleep.
Anyway, I'll fill you in on the stats on Tuesday. Cheers!

Happy Birthday Keegan!

Happy Birthday Keegan! Look! I dressed up like a cowboy for your birthday! I can't wait to see all the cool things you got. Mom says as soon as she can get her tushie to the post office, you'll get the gift I picked out for you!

The Peelles and Ed

Yesterday Mom went to teach summer school and Dad took me to Nana and Grandpa's house for lunch. After lunch we went to Locust Valley (please notice my LV attire, so preppy!) to visit with the Peelles. Mike and Jessica have a daughter named Kathryn. She is three months older than me and really moves around. I was quite jealous of how she can roll over, sit up, and get moving. I can't wait to go, go, go!

We took these pictures together and Mom swears the outfits of the grownups weren't planned. Both Moms in black and both Dads in green! Kathryn sucks her thumb and I spent much of the day trying to imitate her. I almost got it last night, but I still prefer to suck on my whole hand. I can't wait to see Kathryn again when we are a little older. I bet we are going to be great playmates. Too bad they live in Ohio. I think that's far away!
Uncle Ed came for a visit at the Peelles too. He and mom have been friends since first grade! Uncle Ed and Meri came to visit when I was really little and Ed wouldn't hold me, so this time, he sat on the couch and I sat on him. I was passed out from all the excitement of playing with Kathyrn, though. That's alright, Mom said Ed and Meri are coming over next week!

My Baptism

Hi Everyone! Today I was baptised at the Methodist Church in Glendale. I was soooooo good. I didn't cry at all through the whole church service and I even fell asleep right before Pastor Phil called us up to the altar. All my family came to see me. All three sets of grandparents my aunts and uncles and Even my great aunts and uncles. My Aunt Amber and Uncle David are my Godparents. They came up to the altar with us.

Dad's Godmother was here all the way from Italy. It was really neat to meet her. The other night, she spoke Italian to me and gave me a foot massage. I LOVED it!!!! I laughed and laughed. That's one of my new skills. Also, I blow raspberries now too. Do you like my outfit? It came from Italy too. Mom picked it up on Fresh Pond Road here in Glendale.

I met my cousin Liam today too. Mom got to hold him and I got a little jealous. But I got over it. The moms and dads wanted to take nice pictures with the two of us, but we couldn't coordinate our sleeping schedule. So this is what we got. We'll both be more awake at the cabin this summer.

Mom and Dad had a brunch for the family after church. We all went to the St. James. Mom and Dad said the food was good and the cake was awesome. It was the same as Mom and Dad's wedding cake--cannoli cream --today was their 2 year anniversary too!

A beautiful wedding

Yesterday, Mom and Dad went to Alison and Justin's wedding in Rye, New York. Alison's parents are good friends of Nana and Bernie's and Dad and Alison grew up together. The wedding was beautiful, Mom and Dad said. It was at the Wainwright House, right on the Long Island Sound and you could even see NYC from there. Uncle David, Aunt Shannon and Auntie Dana were there too. Look how nice everyone looked!

Grandma and Grandpa came to Glendale to watch me. I was a little bit of a buster for them. You see, I didn't nap all day and then I was a little nutso when they tried to put me down for bed. I hope they will come back to watch me again!

Check out the bumbo

Hey Everyone!

My buddy Keegan in Texas lent me this awesome chair. His mama sent it to my mom to borrow until Keegan gets a sibling. At first, I freaked out a little when Mom put me in it, but later when she tried again, I really liked it. Now I can see what's going on all around me. Thanks Keegan!

I'm the dude

Look Barbara! It fits!!! And it's mad comfy. Thanks again.

Party time

Mom took me to her end-of-the-year party with her library friends on Thursday. Mom's director, Barbara, had the party at her house. It was nice to see all those ladies (and man) again. I met them when Barbara won an award for being an awesome library teacher. It was such a nice day and you know how I love to be outside. We couldn't stay long though, because we had to go meet Dad's Godmother. She is here from Italy. Well, we went to dinner where I had a bit of a meltdown, since I didn't nap much all day. So there's no pictures of us. Mom says that's okay because my Baptism is in a week and we'll get pictures then!
Happy summer everyone!

Grandpa is 65

Yesterday was Grandpa's 65th birthday. Grandmother had a party for him. It was such a nice evening. All of their friends were there and I got to meet a lot of new people. Aunt Amber helped with the cooking for the Carribbean themed party. People were enjoying jerk chicken and tofu and sweet and sour pork and lots of other good stuff. I was watching Mom eat and wondering how real food tastes. Something she ate was spicy and she made a funny face. Aunt Amber's boyfriend Eric brought all kinds of good Reggae and Ska music for us to listen to. I enjoyed that alot!
Do you like my outfit? It says "little stinker" on my overalls. Thanks Uncle David and Aunt Shannon!

Happy Father's Day

Hi Everyone. Check out Daddy and me! We have matching outfits. That's what Dad got for Father's Day from me. Mom got him a shower radio so he can listen to music while he sings in the shower or he can listen to Howard Stern in the morning.
I love to dress like a big boy. For Father's Day I even wore my Pumas.

We went to Nana and Grandpa for breakfast and Grandmother and Grandpa's for lunch.
