My Daddy's Special Day

I woke up on Father's Day at Nonno's house and snuggled in the bed with Mon and Dad for awhile. I woke up pretty late because we were up late eating at Big Night. Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Amber and Eric and all the Bennett clan were getting together for a brunch in honor of the Daddy's.
Daddy made a big salad. Don't worry, he washed his hands before making the salad!

Grandpa played with Liam and me. We made bubbles!

Here's my Daddy! Don't we look handsome in our matching purple shirts? Mom had made us match on Father's Day every year. Here's my first father's day and for last year's father's day the camera was broken or not charged so I match dad because we are both shirtless in the "cuzzi" as I call it.

Here's Aunt Amber and Eric.

And here's most of the family sitting down for the quadrameat brunch.

I have three awesome grandfathers you know. Grandpa, Papa and Nonno. I made cards for all of them with Doreen, my awesome babysitter.

Daddy played cars with Liam. Liam likes cars the way I like balls. Uncle Greg gave me a rugby ball yesterday. I just need to put air in it and then I can learn a new sport!

Uncle David took a rest with us on the comfy chair. I tickled him but I think I laughed harder than he did!

Aunt Amber snapped this photo of Mom and Dad and me. Mom said she feels really pregnant now. The baby is due July 15. I was really interested in Lucas. I fed him and held him and soon I'll have my own baby to play with!Look! Doesn't Jake look more at home already? He was only faking in that scared picture from Big Night.

Before returning home yesterday, we stopped back at Granny's house. I gave Papa his special card and smiled BIG for this picture!

Big Night

Big Night is the name of the BIG DAY AND NIGHT of eating that my family does once or twice a year. This time, it was Granny and Papa who hosted. Everyone makes some yummy food. Of course, I was most interested in dessert, but I did eat some of this yummy pasta that Aunt Eva made.

Dad, Uncle David, Papa, Liam, Lucas and I relaxed on the couch for the two seconds that it took mom to take this picture. Then Liam and I were off to play ball again. It rained all day so we played basketball in the office, baseball and tennis in Granny and Papa's room and soccer throughout the house.
Here's Lucas and me.
This is Jake. He is Aunt Dana's boyfriend. He is super nice and taught me how to pound fists and say "Alleyoop!" Jake looks scared here. It's rough to meet our family all at once!

Mmmmmm strawberries! I ate strawberries for breakfast while Mom was making strawberry rhubarb pie. I ate strawberries for snack and then strawberries for dessert!

Peekaboo!

I see you!

Here's Aunt Shannon and Lucas. Doesn't he look comfy?

My First Photos

I took these! Mommy left her camera unattended on the lawn and I thought I'd give it a go!

Party Season

Summer is a busy time for the Bennett/Haller clan. Lots of birthdays and Fourth of July and eating festivals are coming up. We had our first bash of the summer On May 31 at Uncle Adi's house in Westchester. See all the grownups milling about?Grandma's cousin Kristal from Germany came to visit with her son Sven. They stayed with Grandma and Grandpa and Kristal brought me an awesome motorcycle. I impressed her with my counting in German, which for some reason, I do best while walking on the stairs.
Here's Uncle Adi grilling:
Here's Kristal. She takes pictures a lot like Mommy.
Here's Sven. His English was quite good. I think he even could understand me!Uncle Adi had a GIANT lawn. I kept telling Mommy we were in the park! My cousins Ali, Jenna, Lindsey and Katie played with me on the lawn. Jenna is a super soccer goalie -- one of the best in Connecticut and she could kick the ball really, really high. She must have done that for me a million times. Aunt Amber, Eric, Daddy, Katie's mom Lissa and the girls played volleyball in a circle. I learned how to set the ball!

Soccer is still one of my favorites though!

After all that running around, I needed a break. Martha Stewart would say, "Daddy's lap is a good thing."
