Look! Grandpa held Parker!

Grandma and Grandpa have been hanging out with me. Grandpa and Daddy are working together at what will be our family's new house temporarily. Yup. We're moving out of this place and I am getting a new room! Parker will have his own room too.
(Mommy here. Page doesn't really get it yet, but he's also getting a big boy bed when we move and he won't be able to see Mommy and Daddy through a glass door when he wakes up in the morning. All the trauma...all at once! I'm sad to move out of MY grandma's house, but soon we hope to be closer to the boys' grandparents (okay, and MY work!!!!))

Well, G and G stopped by the other day and Grandpa held Parker! I think it will take some getting used to this sharing of MY grandparents. I call everything MY now. MY grandma. MY grandpa. MY granny. MY papa.

Here I am with my juice box bag. Parker can't have juice yet. Only milk. How boring. But I do like to "help" Mommy feed him. I sit next to her on the bed. I also help with the diapers and I like to hold Parker and read him books.
Parker got this outfit from MY Aunt Helen. Isn't he handsome?

Parker's First Bath

Now you all know how much I like to take baths. Well, Parker isn't too keen on it yet. I will have to show him the ropes. I guess baths aren't too fun when you can't color on the walls, have magic colored water or play with toys.

A typical North Shore 2 year old

The weekend before Parker came, Granny and Papa has us over for lunch. See what I had? LOBSTER!!!!

Then I cooled off in the sprinkler.
Then I relaxed in the hammock!

Then I played in my pool.

Granny and papa are so good to me. I had sleepovers at their house the whole week after this lunch. Mommy was having contractions, whatever that means, and Daddy and her thought they would have to go to the hospital in the middle of the night. I had a blast with Granny and Papa. They played with me, took me shopping, hit balls with me, did puzzles and so much more!

After lunch and relaxing in Granny"s backyard, Daddy and Mommy took me over to Nonno's house. Here I continued my eating festival with delicious steaks. I had a surf and turf day in two locations! And...after dinner at Nonno's I got to go in the "'cuzzi."

I finished off the evening in my fireman jammies eating fresh strawberries and ice cream. Isn't this the life?!?!!!

Page + Parker = Philadelphia?

Today, "The City of Brotherly Love" was about 120 miles away from Philadelphia. It was right here in Manhasset, Long Island at NSUH at Manhasset where I met Parker for the first time. Mommy and Daddy have been telling me he was coming for some time and I was so excited the day finally came.

Daddy showed me pictures of Parker in the morning and the first thing I said to him was, "I want to hold him." I got my wish as you can see!

I wasn't going to let mommy and daddy get all the kisses.

I missed mommy so much. I had to give her a big cuddle.

I introduced Parker to Granny and told him when he gets older we can play on her playground together in the backyard.

I had to warn him about Papa...he's really silly. He kept calling me "Fred" this morning even though I told him repeatedly, "I'm Page!!!"

More Pictures of Parker

I know at this point in time I hadn't met Parker yet (that scene can be seen above!) but when I posted this, I had so keep that in mind. We talked extensively in our visit and he gave me the lowdown on his first day of life. Here he is soon after he came out. He looks soft, doesn't he?

Daddy fancies himself as a photographer so he took this one of Parker's hand. I think it's pretty cool, too.

The hand bone's connected to the...foot bone?

Parker told me that he wasn't so sure about this "light of day" thing until Mommy held him. I know what he means!

Daddy finally got to hold him and Parker told me he was a little unsure why "that guy" had hair on his face. He asked me, "What womb did he come out of?" I still haven't figured that one out myself. Daddy insists his Mommy is Granny but I tell him Granny is mine.

I think Parker looks great with mommy and daddy...the only thing missing is ME!

Parker told me he liked it when Amber, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit...

Grandpa didn't want to hold him just yet. I told him that was okay...Grandpa didn't hold me until day 3!

A Parker Is Born!

(Daddy said he wanted to write this one for me.)

On a warm summer day, when rain was predicted, a strong beam of sunshine fell softly upon the Bennett family as Parker Lee Bennett came to light. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 20.5 inches. From the wee hours of Monday morning until 5:13 pm on Thursday, Romy endured ever-increasing contractions but the fruits of her labor were well worth it. (Easy for a father to say...but I'm sure she would agree!) Please enjoy...

Happy Birthday USA!

Aunt Amber hosted a birthday party for the United States on the 4th of July. Many of her friends from work came to the party and even some of her friends from way upstate near Lake Placid. I was invited too!

Granny and Papa came and they played ball with me.

Blake and Claudine had just returned from France. I had missed them alot. Claudine and Blake both helped Mommy and Daddy chase me around. I was a bit wild that day. Here they take a rest and enjoy the breeze from the Sound.

Grandma and Grandpa returned from the Florida Keys in time for the party. Aren't they tan?!?
There was a beautiful sunset in the backyard and then the fireworks started. By then I was fast asleep. Mommy says thank goodness for fresh air!

Playtime for Charity

Mom and Dad AND Grandma and Grandpa took me to a charity event in Bayville for the Schneider's Children's Hospital. One of Mommy's students is in remission from Leukemia for many years now and his parents organize a benefit to thank the hospital that saved his life.
There is yummy food and bouncy toys and Italian Ice and Doreen! My babysitter Doreen works at the event every year.

Bouncy me.
Basketball me.
Italian Ice me.
Grandma and me.
Doreen and me!

Playground Exploration

Since Mom and Dad are off for the summer, I think I will ask them to help me explore every playground from Queens through Nassau Counties. We started this week with Tappan Beach in Glen Head. It was doggone hot out, but I ran around like a nut anyway. Thankfully, Mom's friend Nina met us down there and took us back to her house for a dip in the pool afterward.
The picture above is Mom holding my Thomas the Train ball. She does not have a ball under her dress. That is a baby. Somedays I still think it's a baby brother. Other days a baby sister. We'll see soon enough!

The Lost Continent

Mommy told me that her students studied unsolved mysteries this year and one of the mysteries was the Lost Continent of Atlantis. Well, I found Atlantis! Actually, Mom and Dad took me there last Sunday. We met my friend Jake and his mom and dad, Danielle and Ron there. Atlantis turned from a mysterious island into an AQUARIUM!!!!

We saw penguins and sharks and sea lions and nemo fishies. And so much more!
Here's everyone except Dad who is taking the picture.
We took a boat ride to a small island where we learned all about Long Island geography and some of the interesting creatures that live here.

I picked up tiny little fish from a net and put them in a bucket.
I played in the sand looking for fiddler crabs.
I watched as Mommy held a crab!
Daddy held this horseshoe crab. He also held a spider crab! That's two scary things Dad had never done before. I was so proud of him!

There was so much to see and do!
