Virginia is for Cousins

Parker here. Last weekend we traveled to Virginia to play with our cousins, Liam and Lucas. Lucas is a few months older than me and I really was interested in how he moves. He can crawl and play with toys and even stand up if he holds onto something. I am getting really good at tummy time, but when I try to move toward the toys, they always seem to get further away!

And Lucas can hold his own bottle. Grandma told mom that I can do that too, but this weekend I pretended I didn't know how to do that when Mom gave me a bottle in the car. Haha! I foiled her plan of not having to turn around like a contortionist in order to feed me.

Liam and Page had lots of fun together. Here they are on Liam's learning tower in the kitchen. Page is chanelling Aunt Lauren in this picture.

On Saturday when we got to Aunt Shannon's and Uncle David's house, we had some lunch and then went to the playground nearby. Lucas and I got to ride in style in the Urban Buggy double stroller. Mom pushed it and realized why Aunt Shannon is so slim and fit. It is the Rolles Royce of strollers!

The boys did a whole lot of running around. Dad and Uncle David had lots of fun playing soccer with them too.

They were wiped out after all that fresh air and sat down to watch Page's Little Bear movie. Liam had never seen Little Bear and was quite fascinated.

Liam and Page needed to wash off before bed. Page entertained Liam by shooting water at him from a little froggie. Lucas tried to get in on the action, but just ended up all wet!

Party Animals

Papa had a birthday. I think he turned 10. Ten is a big number. It's when I put both my hands out with all my fingers up. It's more than I am. I am two (and soon I will be three! Can we have a party for that?). Parker is almost six months old. Can we have a party for that?

I gave Papa tickles for his birthday!

And he let me help him blow out the candles. Natalie helped too.

Yay! Birthday cake!

Birthday cake makes Dad tired. He was busy playing with me and playing with Parker and letting Mom sleep in a little in the morning. He's a good dad.

Birthdays make Parker tired too. And he didn't even eat any cake.

Play Time

I love to eat! When Mommy finishes feeding me, then I try to eat my hands!

I Need a Snow Day!

There wasn't enough snow on Long Island for me so we went to Lake Placid after Christmas. There was LOTS of snow there! Dad bought me a sled at the hardware store. And away we go ...

Brunch in the City

First we drove.

Then we took the subway.

Then we ate really yummy food. Except for me. I ate carrots mashed up in a jar.

Then Greg took a doggie ride.

Then Page took a swing ride.

And all in all, it was a great day in New York City with some of my Aunts and Uncles.

Like I said, Family Time

I woke up from my nap, and there they were, family! Granny. Papa. Aunt Dana. Grandma. Grandpa. Aunt Amber. Eric. Wow!!

We had all sorts of neat treats to eat and then opened some presents. Mom got this food choopy thingie. She is excited.

See? She can't stop smiling.

Parker got cool things, but a hug from Grandma is always cooler.

I got one too! Don't be fooled by my serious face. I love Grandma.

and a LITTLE BEAR GAME!!!!!!!!

Granny and Papa gave us hugs too!

Mom made us potatoes. And her and Dad made us carrots. And cauliflower. And ham. Yum.

We got Granny and Papa and Grandma and Grandpa a double date for Christmas. They are going to dinner and to see Porgy and Bess at the Tilles Center. I really liked going to buy the tickets because the Tilles center is on the campus where Mom went to college and I always talk about it when we pass by.

Grandpa helped Parker taste his nonedible present. Mom says I used to put everything in my mouth, but I don't believe her.

Dad can't believe all the interesting things he is learning about Yankee Stadium.

Auntie Dana hugged me and squeezed me lots! I wish her and Jake would move here so she could hug and squeeze me more!

Dessert was so yummy but, dessert means the day is almost over. I wanted Christmas to go on and on!

Santa Came

Santa came and thankfully, I didn't have to see him. I told Mom and Dad that I didn't want him to come to my house, but I left him cookies and milk and carrots for the reindeer anyway. I really wasn't in to see Santa or sitting on him or really, being in the same room with him. But then I saw all the cool stuff he brought me!!!

I got all sorts of Thomas the Tank Engine stuff. And Parker got a bouncy chair and books and Mom and Dad bought us cars and chewy toys (Parker is super teething guy) and Parker got me Candyland and I got him blocks. I think I was opening presents for a long time, but that's because I had to help EVERYONE else open their stuff too. I'm an expert present opener, you know.

Mom got these matching PJs for Parker and me. She's got to cool it with the matching!

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my brother?

All that present opening and excitement really wiped Parker out. He took and nap and so did I. And when I woke up...WowOWow...family showed up!

A Very Bennett Christmas

On Christmas Eve we got all gussied up and went to Nonno's house for dinner. Mmmm. It was yummy. We don't have too many pictures, though, because the camera battery died. Daddy did my hair. I asked: "Is it handsome?"

Yes, of course it is!

Uncle Greg played with my new Thomas the Train Take-Along set that Santa dropped off early at Granny's house. It's quite the cool toy.
