Brunch for a BIG boy

Parker here. My BIG brother Page turned three a few weeks ago. He can do so much, but my favorite thing he does is make me laugh.

Mom and Dad hosted a brunch for Page's birthday. There was all kinds of yummy looking food like smoked salmon (one of Page's favorites), quiches, bagels and fruit. I didn't get to eat any of it, but when I am allowed to eat real food, watch out!
Granny, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Helen, Eric, Aunt Amber, Blake and Claudine came over to celebrate.

Page got some cool presents including some remote control construction vehicles and a ticket to go see the Yankees with Blake and Dad.

Page told Mom he wanted a Huckle cake. Mom was freeking out about how to make those Richard Scarry characters, but then she remembered ... color printer and lamination machine!!!!!

Page loves singing Happy Birthday. He practices at school, along with the Pledge of Allegiance, which he is very good at saying. Mom is helping Page write thank you notes for all the nice things he got. In the mean time, I'll tell you all that Page really really likes all his new stuff. Thanks for celebrating with him!

Once upon a time ...

Page here. I like to tell stories. Here's one. Once upon a time my mommy and daddy took me and Parker on a trip to visit my cousins in Virginia. It was an extra special trip because Granny came too. Wea ll drove down and Mommy sat in between me and Parker in the car. 

We went on the trip because my little cousin Lucas was turning one. One year is a big important birthday so we had to go (and I think Mommy and Daddy just wanted to hang with Uncle David and Aunt Shannon). Aunt Dana and Jake flew all the way from California to celebrate too. 

We all went to Washington D.C. for a visit with some very important monuments. We saw FDR (this is Mom's favorite and since she uploads the photos for me, we had to put this one in).

We saw the Washington monument.

Parker didn't see much because he was sleeping in the fresh air in the awesome orange buggy, but he posed with the Washington Monument too.

Granny took me to see Abe. He's big. 

When we got back to the house, Jake took awesome pictures of Parker. He's a professional movie dude.

We like him alot, which is good, because Auntie Dana really really likes him!

It was Aunt Shannon's birthday too. Liam helped her open presents.

It was close to my birthday too. Aunt Dana got me a Sit n' Spin. I like spinning it, but not sitting on it and Parker likes sitting on it, but not spinning.

Aunt Shannon made a delicious cake for Lucas. It was banana. Luke liked it. I liked it too, but did a better job of eating it. Luke's way looks more fun, though.

Before I knew it, it was time to go. I really don't like that everyone lives so far away and we can't play every day. I was sad as you can see and even though Mom and Auntie Dana wanted me to smile, I could only think about how I didn't want to leave my awesome family. The end.

RIP little fishie

Hi. Mommy here. Page, Parker and I came home to a sad sight last night. Our little fishy (that never had a name) was "sleeping" at the bottom of his bowl. He had a nice life. Bye little fishie.

I'm 3 TODAY!!!!

Mom came to visit me at my school today and brought cupcakes for my class.

Mrs. Sguelia helped me blow out my candle.

Then I painted. Look how I stay in the lines.

It is so nice out here today. We even got to play on the playground. We haven't been outside is sooooooo long!

Tonight I'll have chicked for dinner and then more cupcakes! Happy BIrthday to me.

I'm ready for my closeup

Hey! Parker here. I was in Lake Placid too. I say it right. Lake Placid. This picture is actually in Saranac Lake. The people there built a big ice castle out of bricks cut from the lake. Grandma, Grandpa, Daddy, Mommy and I went to check it out. It was icy.

Many of the Lake Placid activities were outside in the cold and since I was getting over a bad cold that had me on a nebulizer, I stayed in the warmth alot and hung with Grandma.

Mom did take all these closeup photos of me. What do you think?

Oh, and guess what? I am getting my first tooth!!!! Mom will try to take a picture this week.

Hanging out in Lake Clacid

No, that's not a typo. That's how I say it. Lake Clacid. Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Amber and Eric all say, "Lake PLAcid." but I know better. I know everything. I'll be three in a few weeks and that's practically college.
I did learn some new vocabulary this week, though. I learned more about sledding. And I tried to use the sled as a snowboard. See below: 

Aunt Amber and I went down the little hill and then she made me carry the sled back up. No, just kidding. I told her, "I DO IT!" I love snow!

Dad rocks. He took me down this little hill a bunch of times...in preparation for ... tobogganing! Another one of my new vocabulary words for the week. Have you ever been tobogganing? Well, what you do is this: first you get a cool sled. Then you climb a really really big staircase and go down this super icy slide right onto a lake!

It was so much fun! Can you tell how high the slide was from this picture?

On Mirror Lake someone built a bear sculpture and around it there was slippery ice. Of course, I had to test out my new skills and went sliding on the ice, this time sans sleds.

Mom also took me ice skating on the lake, but it was snowing and we didn't bring the camera. I did really like it and learned how to shoot a puck after walking/skating up to a random kid and asking him for his stick. I think I might have to play ice hockey. Mom says first I need to learn how to do a waltz jump and spin like the people on TV this week.

A couple of crazy cousins (well, really, a few)

My cousins came to New York last weekend to visit. I had missed them so much in the few weeks since we saw them! This was as close as we could get to a nice cousin picture.

 

 Parker and I did pose nicely with Grandma Nancy and Nonno.

Luke and Parker was totally digging each other. Lucas makes Parker laugh.
