Meeting Lucas

After Crayola, Mom, Dad and I went to Amish country for the night. I got to play in a cool pool at the Will Valley resort where we stayed. The next morning, before going down to Virginia to meet Lucas we were going to go on a buggy ride, but I got a fever in the middle of the night, so we just lounged around for awhile. (I actually kept Mom and Dad up most of the night with my fever and special coughing fits).
We stopped to visit Laura, Caroline and Julia for an hour and then went to Lorton to Uncle David and Aunt Shannon's to meet Lucas. Lucas had his baptism Sunday (I didn't make it, more on that in a bit), but we has a weekend of celebrating with the entire family. Hopefully Aunt Shannon will Snapfish her photos soon and I can poach some to show you more fun family time.
I did meet Lucas and was very interested in the baby, but I was WAY more interested in playing with Liam.

For the final hour of the ride to Lorton I kept repeating, "Liam house. Liam house." until Mom had no choice but to ignore me!

As soon as we got there, I took Liam outside in his backyard so we could run around. You wouldn't even know that I was sick, right?

Here's Auntie Dana with Lucas. She is his Godmother.
Here's Daddy, Auntie Dana, and Uncle David. Aren't they attractive.
Here's me and Uncle David. He was making funny monkey faces.
Auntie Dana and I went down the slide together. Liam is so lucky. He has this neat playground at the end of his block. I would make Mom and Dad move into the playground if we lived on Liam's block.
I am such a big boy now I can jump right off the end of the slide. Check out my awesome hair!
Liam and I are very strong, yes?
Here's the brothers and cousins. I loved playing with Liam all weekend long.
Liam's grandpa and grandma from Arizona came in for the christening. They are D'backs fans. Check out our cool matching shirts. Thanks Bill and Ann! We had matching outfits when we were much smaller too. Go here to check out how much we've grown!

C is for CRAYOLA!

Mom and Dad took me to the Crayola Factory in Easton, Pennsylvania on Thursday. There was so much to do there! It's not really where they make all the crayons anymore, but there was tons of crayola stuff to play with. Mom helped me make a caterpillar out of circles of construction paper and a glue stick.
I didn't really need to cut anything, but I was very excited to use a scissor. Notice my special scissor-holding technique.
Next we made a butterfly using paint. The lady said we should paint on one side of the paper and then fold it in half, but I was having too much fun smashing the brush into the paper to stop on one side!
After doing some crafts, we stopped in the play area (as if this whole place wasn't a play area) and what did I spot? Balls! For this neat machine, I picked up a ball and put it in the slot. Then Dad held me up to watch as my ball went across the room in a tube and came down a maze on the other side. Neat!
Sidewalk chalk is one of my favorite things. Dad colored with me because Mom is totally grossed out by chalk!

Upstairs from the Crayola Factory is the Canal Museum. There was a special river where I moved a boat through the locks. Dad had to help me because it was really for bigger boys and girls.

There were some trains in the museum too! I liked driving the train.

I'm AMNH's Number 1 fan!

Daddy's friends from work, Ron and Danielle were bringing their son Jake to the American Museum of Natural History yesterday. We met them there for some dinosaur fun.
Jake is a little bit older than me, but we hit it off pretty quickly!

Thanks for chasing me around Daddy!

Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail

On Easter Sunday I woke up at Granny and Papa's house. We had a yummy breakfast of eggs, matzoh brei (mmmm thanks Papa), bacon and fruit. Daddy shook up the food in my belly and then I got dressed for visiting.

We went to visit Nonno, Grandma Nancy, Aunt Lauren and Uncle Greg.

After a nice nap back in my crib at Granny and Papa's, we all went out for a special lunch at Epiphany restaurant in Glen Cove. I met Angela. She is the owner of the restaurant and is very nice to our family. I was a very good boy (mostly) during lunch and then I ran and ran and ran in circles in the dining area and Angela didn't even get mad at me! She is so nice. I liked my food and if you are hungry and in Glen Cove, you should go there to eat!
Here's my silly smile!
The Easter family portrait. Do you like Daddy's Easter tie? Gosh, he is such a teacher!

After all that sitting at Epiphany, I needed to run around outside. Even though it was sunny and clear, it was about 35 degrees outside. I didn't care! Granny and Papa have a great backyard. Check me out: I played ball, went on the slide and of course, I ran!

At home, the Easter Bunny had dropped by and left me a basket filled with Curious George goodies. There were so many stickers in the basket! I think I will put stickers on every surface in my room!

The Long Haired Hippee

is no more.

Mommy didn't want to do it. Neither did Daddy. But the hair was in my eyes. The hair was in my ears. The hair was tickling my tushie (not really...it was just a few inches below my neck).

Mom and Dad took me to Frankie's Playce at Atlas Park. It's a toy store with a special kids haircutting place in the back. I got to sit in an airplane and this nice lady cut my hair. I was really really good. Mom teared up a little bit but I pretended I didn't notice. And anyway, it's still pretty long, only now I can see and hear better!

Am I a handsome man or what?!?

The last bath

with my long hair.

Smile for the Dentist

Even though I don't look really happy in the picture above, I had a great visit to Dr. Valicenti. He said my teeth looked great and that soon my two-year molars would be coming.
His assistant showed me Mr. Thirsty. Mr. Thirsty drinks more than I do!
I think the dentist is going to be fun...as long as I keep brushing!
